Kinds of Hydraulic Cranes
One of the most popular cranes in the construction business is hydraulic cranes. They are used to make everything from buildings and skyscrapers to freeway overpasses and roadways.

Cranes come in a huge variety of models, styles and sizes. These different units allow both the owner and operators to execute many more functions within their industry. Choosing the best kind of crane is really crucial for making sure that the material could be transported safely and efficiently to the location it needs to get to in order for the construction process to commence.

Truck Cranes
Normally, truck cranes have 2 different cabs. One cab is for controlling the crane and the other is for driving the truck when the unit is in transport mode. These cranes are extremely useful for building sites where a crane is needed in many different places for the duration of the build. This is due to the fact that the crane is capable of being easily driven from one place to another.

Cranes can also be transported to different construction sites on the road because they drive themselves, that eliminates the need for extra transport vehicles. Being able to travel on their own really reduces transport expenses at the end of the day.

The truck crane however is not stable enough to handle all the major loads which a hydraulic crane could handle. Thus, in order to fix this problem, outriggers can be extended from the deck. The outriggers use hydraulic pressure in order to lift the truck slightly off of the ground, making it stable and balanced.

Crawler-Mounted Cranes
Crawler cranes feature large tracks on the bottom of the crane. These huge tracks are similar to the ones seen on other construction equipment like bulldozers and backhoes. The tracks allow the crane to successfully move around a construction locations.
