Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is basically a motorized type of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Rider" versions and "Walkie" models.
The walkie model as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk along the machinery as they pick up and move loads. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent moving of loads over extended distances within manufacturing operations and warehouses. They are highly fast and maneuverable.
It is not recommended to lift and transport tall or unstable loads as there are no safety cages on these models. A rider can be the best answer if you are searching for an inexpensive method for transporting loads from point A to point B. If though, you should move heavy loads short distances, and prefer to use a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model could be the best choice.
Order Selector
The order selector or order picker is a piece equipment made particularly for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load in an effort to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Order Selectors are typically very narrow aisle vehicles that could work in aisles of less than six feet. They are extremely handy pieces of equipment during cycle counting situations as well as during physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more common.
