Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also known as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized in order to move things and materials around on wooden pallets using metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one individual.
To be able to prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated with care. Equipment must be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make sure that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet must be carefully stacked to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be in the middle in order to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is not safe to push the pallet ahead of you since the momentum can cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
